The Palau de la Música Catalana has announced the cancelation of the Oct. 7, 2024 concert.

The theater said, “We regret to inform you that, due to family reasons of the singer Iréne Theorin, the concert planned for next October 7 at 8 p.m., where she was scheduled to perform together with Sarah Connolly and Julius Drake is canceled.”

Ticketholders will get a Palau customer balance so that they can see another concert. There is also the option to get a refund for the performance.

The program was set to include music by Schumann, Strauss, Brahms, Sibelius, Debussy, Turina, and Liszt. 

Connolly next performs at the St John the Evangelist church, Teatro Carlo Felice, Auditorium de Lyon, and Symphony Hall, Birmingham. Theorin next performs at the Staatsoper Hamburg and the Berlin State Opera in productions of “Elektra.”
