
International Vocal Competition ‘s-Hertogenbosch Announces 2025 Winners

The 2025 International Vocal Competition ‘s-Hertogenbosch (IVC) announced its 2025 winners.
Taking home first Prize – Van Riemsdijk Theatre in Song Prize (€10,000), provided by the Truus and Gerrit van Riemsdijk Foundation, was soprano Laure-Catherine Beyers (Belgium) and pianist Ana Ostojić (Serbia).
Coming in second and earning the Staetshuys Fund Prize (€7,500) were Madeline Saputra (Indonesia) and pianist/violinist Apollon Kalamenios (Cyprus). The duo also took home the Press Award (€2,000), in memory of Rudolf Jansen. They also received three concerts across the Netherlands, supported by the Friends of the Lied Engagement Prize.
Soprano Noëlle Drost and pianist Jorian van Nee, both from the Netherlands, were the recipients of the third Prize – Bierens Foundation of Arts Prize (€5,000).
The Van Amelsvoort Prize (€2,500) for the best performance of the compulsory work “When I Was” went to soprano Justyna Khil and pianist Rozalia Kierc (Poland). They also received an engagement prize with the Internationaal Lied Festival Zeist.
Roza Herwig (Netherlands) and Julius Backer (Netherlands) received the Friends of the IVC Prize (€2,000).
The Junior Jury Prize (€2,000), judged by students from Dutch conservatories, went to baritone George Robarts and pianist Edward Picton-Turberville (UK).
The ANED Fund Prize (€1,500) for best program and theatrical concept was awarded to mezzo-soprano Nina Schumertl and pianist Amelie Warner (Germany).
