Illiria Announces Vittorio Prato’s Debut Album

The new album entitled “Il Bravo” will be dedicated to the art of the great baritone Antonio Tamburini. In the album, Prato has selected a selection of rare Bel Canto arias from the operas of the beginning of the 19th century. Among the composers in the album include Donizetti, Bellini, Saviero Mercandante, Carlo Coccia, Pietro Generali, Michael William Balfe, Giuseppe Balducci and Marco Aurelio Marliani.
Prato is joined by the Orchestra “Virtuosi Brunenses” and “Camerata Bach Choir” under the direction of Bel Canto specialist José Miguel Pérez-Sierra.
The album was recorded in collaboration with SWR radio and is presented in an elegant edition with booklet notes written by Giancarlo Landini. This is the third release for Illiria following the releasing of Maxim Mironov’s first two albums “La Ricordanza” and “Questo e Rossini.
