Ildar Abdrazakov has joined “The Voice” in Russia.

The Russian bass, who has become a big Putin supporter throughout the war, took to social media and said, “Hey there everyone! There is news – this season I’m in ‘The Voice.’ Yes, as a mentor. Voice is a subtle, alive thing and always speaks a little more than words. We will listen, choose, argue, rejoice and worry together. Watch from Jan. 23. I wonder who you will be cheering for?”

Abdrazakov is the latest opera singer to join the show which has seen Aida Graifullina be a mentor on “The Voice Kids” in Russia and Bryn Terfel on “The Voice Wales.”

The bass is currently serving as the General Director of Crimea’s Sevastopol State Opera and Ballet Theater and was recently named the People’s Artist of Russia. He was also named Member of Russia’s Presidential Council.
