Following their “Live from London – Christmas” concert, The Voces8 Foundation returns for a virtual festival titled “Live from London – Spring.”

Running from February 13 to April 22, the festival will be comprised of ten concerts and three educational performances, recorded at venues such as St. Anne & St. Agnes Church, Cadogan Hall, St. Barts Church, and more.

Special guests for this festival include Stephen Fry, Joanna MacGregor, Dame Emma Kirkby, Jonathan Dove, Iestyn Davies, and more. Among the groups featured in this year’s festival are Voces8, the Academy of Ancient Music, Stile Antico, the Carducci Quartet, Jason Max Ferdinand, the English Chamber Orchestra, and more.

Among the highlights of the festival, MacGregor will present her new program “Soul of a Woman” for International Women’s Day on March 7. The program will draw on a breadth of cultural sources and will see new arrangement of works by Florence Price, Nina Simone, Eleanor Alberga, and Mary Lou Williams.

On Easter Sunday, April 4, the Academy of Ancient Music will perform Bach’s “Mass in B Minor.” Conducted by Barnaby Smith, they will be joined by Voces8, Rachel Podger, Carolyn Sampson, Iestyn Davies, Jeremy Budd, and Matthew Brook.

On Earth Day, April 22, I Fagiolini will present a concert titled “Re-Wilding The Waste Land.” Inspired by the T.S. Elliot Poem “The Waste Land” which was written 100 years ago following World War I and the Spanish Flu, the concert will feature new commission from Joanna Marsh, Shruthi Rajasekar, and Ben Rowarth.
