How To Watch Live Stream of Joyce DiDonato In ‘Les Troyens’ At Vienna State Opera

On Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, the Vienna State Opera will showcase a live stream of its performance of Berlioz’s grand opera “Les Troyens.”

The performance will be led by conductor French maestro Alain Altinoglu with Brandon Jovanovich as Enée, Adam Plachetka as Chorèbe, Joyce DiDonato as Didon, and Anna Caterina Antonacci as Cassandre. The performance will feature a production by Sir David McVicar with Sets by Es Devlin and Costumes by Moritz Junge. This will be the final performance of this run, with the new production debuting for the first time on Oct. 14, 2018.

The stream kicks off at 4:30 p.m. local time and is slated to run until around 9:30 p.m. That’s around 11:30 p.m. EDT and 8:30 a.m. PST for the start time.

Per the official website, tickets start at 14 euros (approximately $16 USD) and can be purchased right off the Vienna State Opera’s streaming website. There are options for monthly subscriptions to future performances on the service depending on users’ preference for experience opera from the comfort of their homes.

Next up on the slate of live streams will be “L’Elisir d’Amore,” “Don Giovanni,” La Bohème,” “Madama Butterfly,” “Die Weiden,” “Hänsel und Gretel,” and “Die Fledermaus.”
