The Met Opera’s highly successful production of “Adriana Lecouvreur” will be showcased on PBS as part of the Great Performances at the Met. The broadcast is set for May 12 at 12 p.m.

Anna Netrebko and Anita Rachvelishvili will headline the production as warring divas over the affection of Piotr Beczala’s Maurizio. Ambrogio Maestri rounds out the quartet with the opera also featuring Carlo Bosi and Maurizio Muraro.

Gianandrea Noseda conducted the production by Sir David McVicar. Tenor Matthew Polenzani hosts.

This particular production received incredible reviews with OperaWire noting, “All in all, however, this was about the singers and the Metropolitan Opera has put a cast and production together that captivates all across the board… For what it’s worth, this was, to this point, the best performance I have witnessed at the Met Opera in 2018-19. Nothing else comes close at all.”
