The Metropolitan Opera has announced a cast change for its final performance of Bellini’s “Norma” on March 25.

The company said, “for this afternoon’s performance of Bellini’s Norma, the role of Norma will be sung by Helena Dix.”

Dix also commented on Twitter stating, “Just got notice that Ms. Yoncheva is not well enough to do our final Norma today at the Met Opera. I hope she feels better soon. In the meantime, I have 3 hours to summon another Druid Priestess from within. Norma, here I come.”

This is the second performance in which Dix replaces Yoncheva in this run of “Norma.” She is set to join a cast that includes Michael Spyres, Christian Van Horn, and Ekaterina Gubanova. Maurizio Benini conducts.
