Heartbeat Opera has announced more dates for its ever-popular “Lady M” Zoom soirées.

The showcase, which originally ran between May 11-18, will now be extended between May 27-June 6, 2020.

Each 60-minute soirée includes a welcome toast, live performances by two cast members (on a rotating schedule), screenings of a new behind-the-scenes documentary and a music video of Lady M’s Sleepwalking Scene, and Q & A.

Cast members includes Felicia Moore, Quentin Oliver Lee, Tyler Putnam, Sishel Claverie, Taylor-Alexis Dupont, and Jamilyn Manning-White.

Of the first round of Soirées, OperaWire’s Chris Ruel noted, “These highly engaging virtual gatherings stand out in the burgeoning world of virtual opera performance. Heartbeat successfully re-creates the feeling of intimacy and interactivity found in house concerts.”

The opera, which is based on Verdi’s “Macbeth,” was conceived by Ethan Heard with music newly arranged by Daniel Schlosberg and movement direction provided by Emma Jaster. The work, which tells the famed story from Lady Macbeth’s perspective, also features musical direction by Jacob Ashworth.
