
Harmonium of Texas Announces 2026-27 Season
By Francisco SalazarConductor, pianist, and educator Jeffrey Kahane has announced the launch of Harmonium of Texas, a new orchestra and educational initiative based in San Antonio.
Here is a look at the new season and its vocal performances.
The season opens with a program of music by John Adams and Michael Torke as well as Orff’s “Carmina Burana.” Jeffrey Kahane conducts soloists Tessa Lark, Rachele Gilmore, Brian Giebler, and Christopher Rodriguez.
Performance Date: Oct. 2, 2026
Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion” will be conducted by Jeffrey Kahane.
Performance Date: Feb. 26-28, 2027
Joshua Bell, Larisa Martinez, and Jeffrey Kahane perform in concert.
Performance Date: April 4, 2027
Jeffrey Kahane will perform Luciano Berio’s “Sinfonia” and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D minor.
Performance Date: May 21, 2027
