
Hanna De Priest, Tyler Duncan, Nola Richardson, Jonathan Woody Headline Bach Society of Saint Louis’ 2026-27 Season
By David SalazarThe Bach Society of Saint Louis will present four main concerts in its 86th season.
The Bach Society Chorus and Orchestra open the season with Haydn’s “The Creation,” sung in English. Soloists soprano Nola Richardson and baritone Paul Max Tipton return, joined by tenor Brian Giebler in his debut with the Society.
Performance Date: Oct. 11, 2026
The annual Christmas Candlelight Concert returns. The program features the Candlelight Processional, audience carol singing, and Mendelssohn’s “Vom Himmel hoch,” with soloists soprano Hannah De Priest and baritone Tyler Duncan.
Performance Date: Dec. 23, 2026
The Bach Society Chorus and Orchestra perform Gabriel Fauré’s “Requiem,” with soloists including soprano Emily Donato and baritone David Newman.
Performance Date: Feb. 28, 2027
The season closes with Johann Sebastian Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion.” The performance features returning soloists tenor Steven Soph as the Evangelist, bass Stephen Morscheck as Jesus, soprano Mary Wilson, mezzo soprano Clara Osowski, and tenor Gene Stenger, alongside baritone Jonathan Woody in his first appearance with the Society.
