By Logan Martell

The Handel and Haydn Society has announced that, due to the closure of Symphony Hall and the health directives of the Governor and Mayor, the company will be presenting its 2020-21 season entirely online, where it will be available to stream free of charge.

“As we move the entire season online, we continue to look for new and creative ways to bring our audiences unique and captivating performances with the same level of skill and passion that they have come to expect from H+H,” said Handel and Haydn Society President and CEO David Snead. “We look forward to resuming live, in-person performances as soon as it is permissible to do so.”

The season kicks off with “Every Voice.” The program is led by countertenor and programming consultant Reginald Mobley and will feature female composers in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment.

Broadcast Date: November 8, 2020

In “Glories of the Baroque,” concertmaster Aisslinn Nosky will lead the H+H string section.

Broadcast Date: November 24, 2020

“Baroque Christmas” is a program of holiday works led by Ian Watson.
