Handel and Haydn Society Launch New Podcast

By Francisco Salazar

The Handel and Haydn Society has launched a new podcast with H+H Principal Cellist Guy Fishman leading the discussions.

The new podcast will give listeners a unique look at some of the most famous pieces in classical and baroque music. Fishman will lead the discussions about monumental works from the baroque period including Bach’s “St. Matthew Passion” and Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons.”

In the first two episodes he will speak with Artist Director Harry Christophers, who will break down what makes “St. Matthew Passion” so special and what it is like preparing to perform the iconic piece. The third episode will see Fishman talk with Concertmaster Aisslinn Nosky about The Four Seasons and what it is like capturing the changing weather through music.

There will be more episodes announced in the coming weeks.
