Gundula Janowitz & Seji Ozawa to be Honored at Österreichischer Musiktheaterpreis

On Sept. 13, Gundula Janowitz and Seji Ozawa will receive honors from the Österreichischer Musiktheaterpreis.

The awards will be given to the two legendary performers in Grafenegg. Janowitz will be recognized for her career while Ozawa will receive an award for his international cultural compromise and for his service to music.

Piotr Beczala will be at the gala to perform alongside Ozawa and pay tribute to the two artists.

The summer Academy of the Vienna Philharmonic will also receive an award in recognition of the youth. The program was given this year fo the first time in collaboration with the Musikverein Graz and MUK Vienna.

The rest of the awards will be announced at the awards ceremony.
