Donald Trump Celebrates Columbus Day, Claims Luciano Pavarotti was his ‘Great Friend’ & ‘The Greatest Diva’

President Donald J. Trump is claiming that he was a great friend of Luciano Pavarotti.

During a Columbus Day speech talking about Christopher Macchio, who performed the National Anthem at the event, the president rambled about Luciano Pavarotti and said, “Pavarotti was a friend of mine.”

He then went on to claim that Pavarotti was “The greatest diva of them all. A male diva, like no woman could be. I’m very good with music.”

Trump also claimed he was “very good with music” and had a great ear. He also noted that Pavarotti “did not like anybody.”

He also went on to compare tenor Christopher Macchio with Pavarotti and said that Macchio, who has become famous for singing for Trump, was as good as Pavarotti.

Macchio has become the president’s tenor performing at the inauguration, a Madison Square rally during which Puerto Rico was likened to trash, and at the RNC.

Trump and Pavarotti’s connection is not very clear despite the former president stating on several occasions that they were “very good friends.” However, in 2016, when the former president used a recording of Pavarotti’s “Nessun Dorma” at a rally, Pavarotti’s widow Nicoletta Mantovani demanded that Trump stop using the tenor’s most famous aria recording at campaign events. At that time, she said that Trump’s values were “incompatible” with Pavarotti’s.
