The Gran Theatre del Liceu will be joining forces with other prominent summer festivals in the region for a series of performances.

The Liceu d’Estiu will offer up a number of open-air concerts alongside the Festival Cruïlla XXS, Castell de Peralada, Jardins de Pedralbes, and Grec y Auditori de Girona.

The first set of concerts kick off on July 9 and 10 with “Max Richter: Vivaldi Recomposed.” This concert will take place at the Gardens of the TNC and will be a collaboration between the Liceu d’Estiu and Festival Cruïlla XXS.

The “Liceu a la Fresca” will also be part of the programming in a collaboration with Televisió de Catalunya and RTVE. Both channels will be broadcasting a performance of Bizet’s “Carmen” in a production by Calixto Bieito from 2011. The broadcast will take place on June 20 via Televisió Catalunya with RTVE presenting the opera on July 5, 2020.
