Gran Teatre del Liceu has announced that Xabier Anduaga will no longer participate in the March 24 concert.

The bel canto-center concert will now feature tenor Pene Pati and soprano Sarah Blanch. Audiences will enjoy select arias and duets by Bellini, Gounod, Donizetti, and Verdi. Giulio Zappa will accompany at the piano.

Pati recently won the International Opera Awards 2022 Reader’s Choice award. He has also recorded opera albums with Decca Classics and Warner Classics.

Anduaga withdrew due to health reasons.
