Goetheanum to Present ‘Parsifal,’ Starring Klaus Florian Vogt & Roman Payer

Richard Wagner’s “Parsifal” is set to return to the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland from March 20 – 29, 2026.

This marks the third presentation of the production by the Goetheanum.

Roland Fister conducts the staging by Jasmin Solfaghari and eurythmy direction by Stefan Hasler. Walter Schütze designs the sets, costumes, and video, Andreas Klippert prepares the chorus, and lighting design is by Dominique Lorenz.

The cast includes Klaus Florian Vogt in title role on March 29, while Roman Payer will appear as Parsifal on March 20 and 22. The tenor also appeared in the 2025 staging of this production with the company. Joining them are Andreas Hörl as Gurnemanz, Alejandro Marco-Buhrmester as Amfortas, Ivonne Fuchs as Kundry, Wilhelm Schwinghammer as Titurel, and Tómas Tómasson as Klingsor, appearing for the first time in this production. Additional Grail Knights and Squires include Ferdinand Dehner, Benedikt Lutz, Paul Kaufmann, Taryn Knerr, Alina Behning, and Paweł Jeka. The Flower Maidens include Taryn Knerr, Rebecca Davis, Vera Maria Bitter, Margaret Rose Koenn, Viktorija Narvidaitė, and Alina Behning.

Participating ensembles include the Baden-Baden Philharmonic, the Vocal Work of the Heidenheim Opera Festival, the Goetheanum Eurythmy Ensemble, and the Else Klink Ensemble of the Stuttgart Eurythmeum.
