GeDeane Grahama & Stephanie Ann Ball Headline Art Song Colorado’s ‘Voices of the African Diaspora’

Art Song Colorado has announced the performers for its upcoming “Voices of the African Diaspora.”

There will be two performances of the program. One is set for Feb. 16, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church of Colorado Springs while the latter will take place on Feb. 18, 2023, at The King Center in Denver.

Leading the performance will be mezzo-soprano GeDeane Graham, who will be performing Julia Perry’s “Stabat Mater.”

She will be joined by soprano Stephanie Ann Ball who will perform Grant Still’s “From the Hearts of Women” and Price’s “My Soul’s Been Anchored in the Lord.” Ball will also narrates Schwanter’s “New Morning for the World.”

“Voices of the African Diaspora” will also feature Joplin’s “Treemonisha Overture.”
