Fresh Squeezed Opera Announces ‘Casual Conversations With Composers in Quarantine’ Series

Fresh Squeezed Opera has announced a series of conversations with several major composers throughout November.

It all kicks off on Nov. 12 when the company talks to Kate Soper about her upcoming “Romance of the Rose.”

On Nov. 16, Brittany J. Green will be in the spotlight, conversing about her collaborations and work with electronic music.

The following day, on Nov. 17, Fresh Squeezed Opera will check in with Jenny Beck on sonic meditation and her unique sounder world.

JD Daniel will engage in conversation on Wednesday, Nov. 18. He will be talking about text setting and the future of opera. Molly Joyce will also join in on Nov. 18, talking about her recent Fresh Squeezed Opera commission and a recently released album.

The series draws to a close with a conversation spotlighting Omar Najmi as he discussing his career as a vocalist and his recent opera “En la ardienta oscuridiad.”
