On March 24, the Teatro alla Scala is set to present a gala concert starring Francesco Meli and Maria Agresta.

The two singers will perform a program featuring music by Verdi’s “La battaglia di Legnano,” “Otello,” and “Stiffelio,” Catalani’ “La Wally” and “Loreley,” and Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut.” There will also be music Marco Tutino’s “La Ciociara” and Giordano’s “Andrea Chenier.”

Nicola Luisotti will conduct the gala which will be streamed live from Facebook and YouTube.

The concert comes after the Teatro alla Scala’s production of Kurt Weill’s “Die sieben Todsünden” and “Mahagonny-Songspiel” which was conducted by Riccardo Chailly and starred Kate Lindsey and the company’s “Salome” production also conducted by Chailly. The company is set to present a concert by Bruno Casoni and Zubin Mehta in April.
