Francesca Dotto & Fabio Sartori Highlight Venice Celebration

The Teatro la Fenice will celebrate the city of Venice on March 25 with a concert presented on Rai 2.

During the concert, President Sergio Mattarella will salute the city and will showcase the story of Venice narrated by Alessio Boni. The orchestra and chorus of the Teatro la Fenice will be conducted by Renato Palumbo and soloists will include Fabio Sartori and Francesca Dotto.

The concert will showcase music written for Venice and la Fenice including excerpts from Verdi’s “Attila,” “Otello,” “La Traviata,” and “Ernani.” The concert will also showcase music from “L’Italiana in Algeri,” “Les Contes d’Hoffmann,” and  “Turandot.”

Audiences will also see images of Venice throughout the years as the history of the city is narrated.

The concert will begin at 8:30 CET.
