Fiorenza Cedolins Named Artistic Director of Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine

Fiorenza Cedolins will become the Artistic Director of the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine.

The famed soprano will succeed Marco Feruglio following a selection process that took months starting in December.

In a statement, Cedolins said, “we will immediately enter the heart of the preparation for the new season, working with confidence and harmony to uphold the name of this wonderful theater. My roots are solidly linked to this territory.”

Cedolins is a soprano with more than 30 years of experience and has performed at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Arena di Verona, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, and Santa Cecilia. Her repertoire includes the music of Verdi, Puccini, Cilea, Mascagni, and Bellini.
