Festival de Teatro Lírico Español Announces 2024 Season

The Festival de Teatro Lírico Español de Oviedo has announced its 2024 season.

The season opens with “La Gran Vía” and “Adiós a la bohemia” in a double bill. The cast will include Borja Quiza, Vanessa Goikoetxea, Carlos Mesa, Milagros Martín, Jorge Merino, Néstor Galván, Gabriel Alonso Díaz, David Lagares, Antonio Torres, Sandro Cordero, and Maxi Rodríguez. Víctor Pablo Pérez conducts the Oviedo Filarmonía and Capilla Polifónica Ciudad de Oviedo and Ignacio García directs.

Performance Dates: Feb 22 & 24, 2024

Omar Porras directs a production of “Coronis.” The cast includes Marie Prebost, Isabelle Druet, Cyril Auvity, Anthea Pichanik, Fiona Mc Gown, Marielou Jacquard, Caroline Meng, Brenda Poupard, and Olivier Fichet. Vincent Dumestre conducts Le Poème Harmonique.

Performance Dates: April 18 & 20, 2024

Alondra de la Parra conducts “La rosa del azafrán” with a cast that includes Beatriz Díaz, Damián del Castillo, María Zapata, Ángel Ruiz, Vicky Peña, Jorge Merino, Mario Gas, Roca Suárez, Emilio Gavira, Javier Gallardo, and Elena Arona. Ignacio García directs.

Performance Dates: May 23 & 25, 2024

Lucas Macías conducts Don Gil de Alcalá” with Emilio Sagi directing. The cast includes Alejandro Roy, Sofía Esparza, Facundo de la Viña, Carol García, Manel Esteve, Pablo López, Abraham García, Marina Pardo, Christian Díaz, Andrés Sánchez, and Omar Lara.

María José Moreno and Jonathan Tetelman lead a gala with the Oviedo Filarmonía and conductor Lucas Macías.
