The Festival de Beaune has announced that it will dedicate this year’s edition to Jodie Devos, who died in June.

The festival will be held between July 5 and 28 and will pay tribute to the soprano on July 21 with a special evening led by the Festival team, Stéphane Fuget, and the musicians of Les Epopées.

Devos was due to perform Beaune this year with Stéphane Fuget and Les Epopées in a production of “Alcina” on July 19 and was set to perform a recital of music by Händel on July 21.

Devos died on June 16 at the age of 35 of cancer. She was recognized for having performed at the Opéra Comique, Opéra Royal de Wallonie, and Opéra National de Montpellier, among others.
