Opera Festival of Chicago Cancels Ferruccio Furlanetto Recital

The Opera Festival of Chicago has announced the cancelation of “Ferruccio Furlanetto in Concert” on July 13.

The company said, “Due to an extraordinary delay from the U.S. State Department, the Opera Festival of Chicago has been forced to cancel the ‘Ferruccio Furlanetto in Concert’ presentation previously scheduled for Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the Harris Theater.”

The company added that the Harris Theater ticket office will automatically refund all tickets. Additionally, the Festival will continue with Giuseppe Verdi’s “Attila,” performed on Thursday, July 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, July 23 at 3 p.m. at Cahn Auditorium located on the campus of Northwestern University at 600 Emerson Street in Evanston, IL.

The festival is set to run between July 6 and 23, 2023.
