Federica Lombardi Announces Pregnancy & Cancels ‘Luisa Miller’ in Vienna & Valencia

Federica Lombardi has announced her pregnancy and as a result has to withdrawn from her planned role debut in Verdi’s “Luisa Miller.”

The soprano was to sing the role at the Palau de les Arts and Wiener Staatsoper.

The soprano is expected to return to the stage in spring 2026 and Lombardi wishes to thank the opera houses and her audience for their kind understanding and support during this special time.

Nadine Sierra is set to take over the Wiener Staatsoper’s production of “Luisa Miller” while the Palau de les Arts has not announced the replacement.

Lombardi is set to sing at the Metropolitan Opera this fall in “Don Giovanni.”
