The European Association of Artist Managers (AEAA) announced Cristina Uruc as it new President.
The election took place during the AEAA’s 2025 General Assembly, which was held in Istanbul on May 3–4.
Uruc is the manager of Artexim, the agency responsible for organizing the George Enescu International Festival and competition. She has also held roles such as General Project Manager of the International New Music Week Festival and Tour Manager for early music ensembles Il Giardino Armonico and Coro e Orchestra Ghislieri. Uruc succeeds Réda Sidi Boumedine, who led the association with dedication over the past six years and played a key role in strengthening AEAA’s presence on the European cultural scene. Boumedine headed connections with International Artist Managers’ Association (IAMA), Opera Managers Association International (OMAI), Doka Art, the Association of German-
speaking opera and concert agencies, Classical ME Timișoara and other leading conferences and industry gatherings.
In a press release Sidi Boumedine said, “As I step down, I do so with great confidence in the leadership and vision of Cristina Uruc, who was unanimously elected new President at our last General Assembly in Istanbul. I look forward to seeing the
AEAA continue to evolve, guided by the same spirit of integrity, trust, and friendship that defines our identity.”
The AEAA’s members represent 17 countries and over 4,000 artists. The next General Assembly of the AEAA is scheduled for 2026 and will take place in Bucharest.
