
Puccini Opera Festival Announces 2027 Season
By Francisco SalazarThe Puccini Opera Festival in Torre del Lago has announced its 2027 season celebrating its 73rd edition.
The festival will open with “La Rondine” with Ermonela Jaho, Alexandra Kurzak, Martina Russomanno, Matteo Mollica, Francesco Meli, Paolo Antognetti, and Roberto Alagna.

Performance Dates: July 9 & 17, 2027
“Turandot” will follow with Angela Meade, Saioa Hernández, Ewa Plonka, Jonathan Tetelaman, Erwin Schrott, Ekaterina Semenchuk, Mariangela Sicilia, Jessica Pratt, Lisette Oropesa, Georgi Manoshvili, Rosanna Lo Greco, Brian Jadge, Yusif Eyvazov, Alessio Arduini, and Maria Agresta.

Performance Dates: July 10, 22, 31, August 13 & 28, 2027
The company will revive its acclaimed “Tosca” production. The opera will star Anna Pirozzi, Anna Netrebko, Chiara Isotton, Ludovic Tézier, Gabriele Viviani, Luca Salsi, Ernesto Petti, Brian Jadge, and Vittorio Grigolo.

Performance Dates: July 16, 24, August 6 & 21 2027
“Madama Butterfly” will also be presented. The opera will star Sonya Yoncheva, Erika Grimaldi, Carlo Raffaelli, Dmytro Popov, Stefan Pop, Luca Micheletti, Ernesto Petti, Cristiano Olivieri, and Germán Olivera.
Performance Dates: July 30, August 8 & 20, 2027
The final work of the season will be “La Boheme” with Juliana Grigoryan, Eleonora Buratto, Adam Smith, Yusif Eyvazov, Michele Pertusi, Nino Machaidze, Davide Luciano, Enkeleda Kamari, Miriam Battistelli, and Rene Barbera.
