Judith Clurman will lead Essential Voices USA (EVUSA) in a holiday concert on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Malachy’s – The Actors’ Chapel in New York City.
The chorus will perform alongside The Essential Strings for a program that includes selections from “Christmas Joy;” a collection of seasonal favorites arranged by Joshua Clayton and Judith Clurman; the world premiere of a new arrangement of “The Wexford Carol” for percussion, cello, and keyboard; Clurman’s and William Schermerhorn’s “Listen to the World;” and audience participation in traditional carols arranged by Jeremy Robin Lyons, along with works by Jerry Herman and Irving Berlin.
Finally, the concert will also feature the world premiere of “The Star” by Robert Sirota and Victoria Sirota, with the audience invited to join in the refrain.
“It is my hope that this community event will bring families a sense of joy, hope, and fulfillment this holiday season,” said Clurman per an official press release.
The event, part of EVUSA’s Community Project series, is free and open to the public, with a suggested contribution of $20.
