Erin Wagner Wins Walter W. Naumburg Foundation’s 2021 International Vocal Competition

Erin Wagner has been named the winner of the Walter W. Naumburg Foundation’s 2021 International Vocal Competition.

A student of Juilliard, Wagner will receive $25,000 and two New York concerts.

The finals for the competition took place on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Other finalists included Megan Moore and William Socolof. Each artist was expected to present two full recital programs including one dedicated to 19th-century music of the German and French School and other of music prior to the 19th century, or one dedicated to 20th and 21st-century music. Each program was expected to last at least 60 minutes.

Previous competition winners include Julia Bullock, Sari Gruber, Theresa Santiago, Dawn Upshaw, Faith Esham, Irene Gubrud, Lucy Shelton, Clamma Dale, Joy Simpson, Sophia Steffan, and Angelica Lozada, among others.
