Erin Morley & Lawrence Brownlee Headline Met Opera’s Live in HD Performance of ‘Die Zauberflöte’

The Metropolitan Opera is set to present a Live in HD transmission of “Die Zauberflöte” on June 3, 2023.
The opera stars Erin Morley, Lawrence Brownlee, Stephen Milling, Kathryn Lewek, and Thomas Oliemans. Nathalie Stutzmann conducts and Ben Bliss hosts the performance, which kicks off at 12:55 p.m. local time.
Of the opening night performance, OperaWire said, “I’ll repeat what I said at the start of this article – with its top-notch cast, its humanity, its celebration of the magic of stagecraft both new and old, and it’s celebration of the power of music [this ‘Zauberflöte’ is] the greatest production that Met Opera has brought in years.”
Audiences who can’t watch the opera in movie theaters will be able to check out the transmission via “The Met: Live at Home.”
