
Ensamble Américas of the DAMus-UNA to Present ‘Hildegard’
By David SalazarThe Ensamble Américas of the DAMus-UNA will present “Hildegard” starting on Oct. 9, 2025 at the Auditorio Julio García Cánepa in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The opera by Marta Lambertini with a libretto by Elena Vinelli, explores the extraordinary life of Hildegard von Bingen — the 12th-century abbess, mystic, and composer. The opera, composed in 2001 and premiered in 2002 at the Centro de Experimentación del Teatro Colón, will be conducted by Andrés Gerszenzon and directed by Guido Cavallo.
The production features Laura Munizaga Alfaro as Hildegard, Julia Bailey as Richardis, Maximiliano Martino Ávila as Diabulus, Federico Veltri as Volmar, Lourdes Bandeira and Andrés Peña as Monks, and Martina Questa, Cesia Abigail Mansilla, and Felicitas Brusa as Clara, Fanny, and Alma, respectively.
The performance starts at 8 p.m. local time.
