Emmy D’Angelo, Kathryn Lewek, Emily Pogorelc, Emőke Baráth, Rolando Villazón Headline Salzburg Mozarteum’s 2026 Mozart Week

The Salzburg Mozarteum has announced its programming for Mozart Week 2026. Here is a breakdown of the vocal performances on offer.
First up is a concert featuring mezzo-soprano Emily D’Angelo alongside the Danish Chamber Orchestra and conductor Adam Fischer. Rolando Villazón will moderate the program, which includes works by Mozart, Monteverdi, and Händel.

Soprano Heidi Baumgartner headlines a program featuring works by Mozart and Beethoven.
Performance Date: Jan. 23 & 28, 2026
Rolando Villazón directs “Die Zauberflöte” with Roberto González-Monjas leading the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg. The cast includes Franz-Josef Selig, Kathryn Lewek, Manus Dietrich, Emily Pogorelc, Theodore Platt, and Tamara Ivanis.
Performance Date: Jan. 23 – 30, 2026
There will be an interactive event that allows audiences to engage with the story of “Die Zauberflöte” in unique ways. Konstantin Paul directs the event, which is conducted by Gordon Safari.
Performance Date: Jan. 24 & 31, 2026
Tenor Paul Schweinester directs and performs in “Der Alte Baum” featuring arrangements of music by Mozart. Tscho Theissing provides musical direction and musical arrangements for the piece.

Magdalena Kožená headlines a concert with the Vienna Philharmonic under the musical direction of Robin Ticciati. The program features music by Berlioz, Mozart, and Gluck.
Performance Date: Jan. 28, 2026
Mozart’s Requiem will be programmed alongside Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater.” Soloists include Emőke Baráth, Philippe Jaroussky, Zachary Wilder, and Dingle Yandell. Christina Pluhar leads Ensemble L’Apreggiata and Capella Cracoviensis.

Villazón performs and moderates a concert with the Havana Lyceum Orchestra under José Antonio Méndez Padrón.
