Elgin Symphony Announces 2023-24 Season

Illinois’ Elgin Symphony has unveiled its 2023-24 season. Here is a rundown of the classical vocal performances on offer.

The season opens with a program featuring soprano Christine Brewer singing Strauss’ “Four Last Songs.” There will also be music by Mozart and Rachmaninoff on the program. Chad Goodman conducts.

Performance Dates: Oct. 7 & 8, 2023

The Elgin Master Chorale, under Chad Goodman, will deliver a Holiday Spectacular.

Performance Dates: Dec. 8 – 10, 2023

The season draws to a close with a performance featuring Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Mozart’s “Ave Verum Corpus,” and Jessie Montgomery’s “Hymn for Everyone.” Audiences will see such soloists as Laura Strickling, Mary Phillips, Thomas Cooley, and Hadleigh Adams. Chad Goodman conducts the ensemble and the Elgin Master Chorale.
