Eleonora Buratto & Michele Pertusi Among 2025 Premio Illica Winners

The winners of the 2025 Premio Illica have been announced.

The lifetime achievement award was given to Pier Luigi Pizzi, while Michele Pertusi was recognized with the Male award in Lyric singing. The Female award for Lyric singing was given to Eleonora Buratto.

The award for journalism and music criticism was given to Angelo Foletto while Giovanni Godi was recognized with the award for promotion of culture.

The winners were selected by a jury that was comprised of Cristina Ferrari (Artistic Director of Teatro Municipale di Piacenza), Francesco Nardelli (General Director of Teatro Fraschini di Pavia), Paolo Cantù (General Director of Fondazione “I Teatri” di Reggio Emilia), Andrea Cigni (General Director del Teatro Ponchielli di Cremona), Ivano Rocchetta (Mayor of Castell’Arquato), Umberto Boselli (Advisor of Cultura e Turismo), Antonella Balestrazzi (director of Festival Illica) and Jacopo Brusa (Music Director of the Festival Illica).

The awards ceremony will be held on July 12 at Castell’Arquato in Piacenza.

The winners of the awards join past recipients which include Renata Tebaldi, Magda Olivero, Mirella Freni, Renata Scotto, Mario Del Monaco, Giuseppe Di Stefano, Ferruccio Tagliavini, Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Josè Carreras, Giuseppe Giacomini, Renato Bruson, Tito Gobbi, Riccardo Muti, Tullio Serafin, and Gianandrea Gavazzeni, Philippe Daverio.
