Eleonora Buratto Joins ‘Aida’ Gala At Arena di Verona

Eleonora Buratto will step into the cast of the 150° Anniversary 1871 “Aida” Gala Concert at the Arena di Verona on June 19 & 22, 2021.

Buratto will perform the title role instead of Sonya Yoncheva who was originally announced for the performance. The soprano will join a cast that includes Anita Rachvelishvili as Amneris, Francesco Meli in the role of Radamés, Michele Pertusi as Il Re, Riccardo Zanellato in the role of Ramfis, Ambrogio Maestri as Amonasro, Riccardo Rados in the role of Un Messaggero, and Benedetta Torre as Sacerdotessa. Maestro Riccardo Muti will conduct. Vito Lombardi is the Chorus Master.

Buratto is scheduled to perform the role of Mimì in Puccini’s “La bohème” at Teatro di San Carlo, before taking on the role of Liù in “Turandot” at the Munich Opera Festival in July 2021.
