During the 2026 Garda Festival soprano Elena Moșuc and director and designer Pier Luigi Pizzi will receive awards.

Soprano Elena Moșuc’s career will be honored with the Cigno del Garda 2026 Prize. Moșuc made her debut in 1990 as the Queen of the Night at the Romanian National Opera, Iași. The following year she joined the Opernstudio of the Zurich Opera House, where she performed for more than 20 years.

Stage direction and set design Pier Luigi Pizzi will be given the 44th Piccinni Prize for Excellence in the Performing Arts. Alongside this award, Pizzi is decorated with the Legion d’Honneur and awarded the title of Knight Grand Cross of Merit of the Republic Italian.

During the awards ceremony baritone Yu Ruoyang and the pianist Fabio Maggio will perform.

This event is scheduled for Aug. 1, at the Conservatory “Evaristo Felice Dall’Abaco” in Verona.
