Edith Grossman Wins 2025 Zenith Opera Competition

Zenith Opera Competition has announced the winners of its 2025 edition.

First prize went to mezzo-soprano Edith Grossman, while baritone Hyunkyum Kim took home second prize. Soprano Sara LeMesh rounded out the top three.

The Gregory Kunde Nova Award was given to baritone Jared Werlein.

This year’s jury included Matthew Broom of English National Opera, Eline De Kat of Opéra de Monte-Carlo, Tobias Hasan of Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Cornelia Preissinger of Oper Leipzig, and Annette Weber-Hussain of Zurich Opera.

The final took place in Berlin on May 25, 2025.
