Edinburgh International Festival Announces Record-Breaking 2025 Numbers

The Edinburgh International Festival has announced the final numbers for the 2025 season.

The festival said that the 2025 season saw 111,000 audience members from 91 countries, the most international audience in recent years.

The season saw seven premieres, eight UK and Scottish premieres, and two European premieres.

Additionally, the festival prioritized affordability and half of all tickets were priced £30 or under, including over 5,000 £10 tickets which were offered across every performance in the programme. In total, it sold a record-breaking 2,695 tickets.

The Edinburgh International Festival was held between August 1 and 24, 2025. Among the operas that were presented included were a reimagining of opera “Orpheus and Eurydice.”
