Dresden Music Festival Announces 2021 Slate

The Dresden Music Festival has announced its May and June lineup.

The festival will take place both online and in person. The May portion will be held online and the June will be live with an audience.

Among the starry lineup will be evenings conducted by Daniele Gatti, Kent Nagano, and Fabio Luisi. Guest soloists will include Jan Vogler, Gil Shaham, Pablo-Sainz Villegas, Rudolf Buchbinder, and Mira Wang, among others.

Peter Mattei will represent the sole vocalist and on May 28, he will join the Concertgebouw Orchestra and Fabio Luisi for Rick van Veldhuizen’s “mais le corps taché d’ombres” and Gustav Mahler’s “Kindertotenlieder” and Symphony No. 5.

The festival will run from May 24 through August 25, 2021.
