The International Classical Music Awards has announced the 2025 winners which will be presented at Düsseldorf’s Tonhalle on March 19.

The Artist of the Year award was given to Leonardo García Alarcón, while Christoph Ehrenfellner won the composer of the year award.

BR Klassik was recognized as the Label of the Year while Adam Fischer and Düsseldorfer Symphoniker were awarded the Special Achievement Award.

The Baroque Vocal Award went to “Invocazioni Mariane” featuring Andreas Scholl, Accademia Bizantina, and Alessandro Tampieri on Naïve while Vocal Music Award went to Urlicht featuring Samuel Hasselhorn, Julia Grüter, The Poznań Nightingales Boys’ Choir, Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra, and Łukasz Borowicz. The album was released by Harmonia Mundi.

The Choral Music award was given to Bruckners Welt featuring the Chor des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Münchner Rundfunkorchester, and Peter Dijkstra and released by BR Klassik.

Jonas Kaufmann, Ludovic Tézier, Elina Garanča, Georg Zeppenfeld, Wolfgang Koch, and Stefan Cerny recording of “Parsifal” for Sony Classical won the Opera Award. Philippe Jordan Jordan conducted the recording.

The Video Performance award was given to “Die Fledermaus” from the Bayerische Staatsoper. The recording stars Diana Damrau, Georg Nigl, Katharina Konradi, and Martin Winkler. Vladimir Jurowski conducts the production by Barrie Kosky.

Finally, the Premiere Recording award went to Saint-Saëns’s rarely heard opera “Déjanire.” The recording Bru Zane features Kate Aldrich, Julien Dran, Anaïs Constans, Jérôme Boutillier, Anna Dowsley, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, and Kazuki Yamada.
