The Deutsche Oper Berlin has announced cast changes for concert performances “Best of Don Carlo.”

The company announced that bass Ante Jerkunica will perform the role of Philippo II instead of Ildar Abdrazakov and Romanian baritone Bogdan Baciu will sing the role of Rodrigo, Marquis di Posa, replacing Davide Luciano.

The opera house previously announced that Judit Kutasi will perform the role of Eboli following the cancellation of Anita Rachvelishvili.

Jerkunica and Baciu will join a cast that also includes Dinara Alieva as Elisabetta di Valois, Patrick Guetti as the Grand Inquisitor, Meechot Marrero as Tebaldo, and Yosep Kang in the title role. Sir Donald Runnicles conducts the performances set for June 11 & 13, 2021.
