Deutsche Oper Berlin Announces Ring Cycle for 2025-26 Season

The Deutsche Oper Berlin has announced that it will present the Ring Cycle during the 2025-26 season.

The company said that it will present full cycles from May 16 to May 31, 2026.

There will be two cycles featuring Stefan Herheim’s production. Among the cast are Ya-Chung Huang (Mime), Iain Paterson and Thomas J. Mayer (Wotan), Annika Schlicht (Fricka), Michael Sumuel (Alberich), Matthew Newlin (Siegmund), Elisabeth Teige (Sieglinde, Brünnhilde), Clay Hilley (Siegfried), Trine Møller and Catherine Foster (Brünnhilde) and Albert Pesendorfer (Hagen / Fasolt).

The eight performances will mark the farewell of General Music Director Sir Donald Runnicles.

The first cycle will be held between May 16 and 25, 2026 and the second cycle will be held between May 26 to 31, 2026.
