The Deutsche Oper Berlin has announced a cast change for its production of “Macbeth.”

The company said that for the Dec. 4 performance, Anna Pirozzi will sing the part of Lady Macbeth from the side, while Felicia Moore will perform the role on stage.

Pirozzi took to social media and said, “Tonight, I will jump in as Lady Macbeth at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in Giuseppe Verdi’s ‘Macbeth!’ It’s always a thrilling challenge to step into the role of this extraordinary character and share her voice with the Berlin audience. I’m looking forward to this special evening with you. See you later!”

Pirozzi is known for her interpretation of the work, having performed it at the Metropolitan Opera, the Wiener Staatsoper, Las Palmas, Royal Opera House, and Teatro Comunale di Bologna.

The Italian soprano will join a cast that also stars Roman Burdenko, Marko Mimica, and Attilio Glaser. Enrique Mazzola conducts.
