Dell’Arte Opera Ensemble has announced the second “Great Aria Throwdown,” set for Oct. 1, 2021 at Campos Garden in New York City.

The showcase will feature soprano Bahati Barton taking on arias from “Zaide,” and “Phantom of the Opera,” while soprano Diana Charlop will showcase major solos from “Don Pasquale” and music by Mozart and Massenet. Meanwhile, mezzo-soprano Perri di Christina will interpret music from “Anna Bolena,” “Le Nozze di Figaro,” and “Faust.”Finally, countertenor Jeffrey Mandelbaum will perform arias from “L’incoronazione di Poppea,” “Rodelinda,” and music by Purcell.

All the singers will be accompanied by pianist Pablo Zinger.

The event, which is presented in collaboration with the LUNGS Harvest Arts Festival, will also be livestreamed via Instagram.

The first “Great Aria Throwdown” took place on Sept. 25, 2021.
