On May 27, 2022, Death of Classical and The Green-Wood Cemetery will present “Hot Dogs, Hooch, & Handel.”

The event will feature several hot dog vendors, a selection of local spirits, and a performance of works by George Frideric Händel.

Baroque ensemble directed by Elliot Figg at the harpsichord will perform with concertmaster Simone Slattery, violinists Rebecca Nelson, Shelby Yamin, and Rafa Prendergast, violist Dan McCarthy, cellists Anthony Albrecht and Cullen O’Neil, theorbist Kevin Payne, double bassist Dara Bloom, mezzo-soprano Kristen Gornstein, and soprano Sarah Shafer.

The event is a follow up to 2019’s “Burgers, Bourbon, and Beethoven” and will take place at the grounds surrounding Green-Wood’s landmarked Gothic Arch and will officially kick off the fourth season of “The Angel’s Share.”
