Rustioni was named the conductor in 2022 and began his tenure in September 2022.
Rustioni is the Artistic Director of the Orchestra della Toscana, where he held the position of Music Director until 2020 as well as a guest conductor of great orchestras such as the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Bayerische Staatsorchester, and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. Rustioni also conducts at the Metropolitan Opera as well as at the Opéra National de Lyon, the Bayerische Staatsoper, and Théâtre des Champs Elysées.
