Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra Sets ‘Rhythms of Hope’ National Tour

South Africa’s Mzansi National Philharmonic Orchestra is set for its “Rhythms of Hope” National tour.

The concert will be conducted by Kirill Karabits and features soprano Ana Masina and vocalist Mbuso Khozza. Audiences will hear the world premiere of the uShaka iLembe Suite by South African composer Philip Miller. Also on the program will be the Rhapsody in Blue with Leo Gevisser as the piano soloist. The concert culminates in a performance of Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherezade.”

The tour kicks off at Johannesburg’s Lindber Auditorium on Nov. 28 before heading to teh Sand du Plessis Theatre in Bloemfontein on Dec. 1, 2024. Then comes the Dec. 4 showcase at Cape Town at City Hall on Dec. 4.
