On July 20, 2023, Cultural Center of the Philippines and Philippine Madrigal Singers will open the Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival.

Named in honor of the late founder of the Madrigal Singers, the festival is held every two years since it was begun in 2013. Following the opening ceremonies on the first day, the festival will continue with two days of competitions.

The competitions, which finished applications on June 1, will see choirs in the categories of “Folk Song,” “Equal Voices,” and “Mixed Choir,” with the jury to be comprised of five internationally-renowned judges. The Folk Song Competition will be held July 21, with the Equal Voices and Mixed Choir Competitions held on July 22.

The festival will close on July 23, with a concert from the Philippine Madrigal Singers, as well as an award ceremony.
